Along with talking about your sex life, doctors will ask about your health history and maybe even have a physical exam. If you are suffering from premature ejaculation, along with problems in obtaining or maintaining erections, your doctor may ask you to have a blood test to check for testosterone levels.

In rare cases, the doctor may ask you to visit a urologist or mental health specialist who is a specialist in sexual dysfunction.

Treatment –

Some common treatment options include topical anesthetic, behavioral techniques, counseling, and medications. Keep in mind that it takes time to find the right type of treatment or different types of treatments that will be beneficial for you. Drug therapy may be the best course with behavioral therapy.

Behavioral functions –

In most cases, therapy may involve simple steps such as masturbation for one hour before sex to delay ejaculation at the time of sex. Doctors may also recommend avoiding sex for some time and focusing more on other types of sexual activity so that the pressure is relieved by sexual encounters.

Pelvic floor exercises –

Weak muscles can impair your ability to delay ejaculation. Pelvic floor exercises will help you strengthen muscles.

For the performance of these exercises:

  • Make the technique perfect

Tighten the pelvic muscles, hold it for 3-4 seconds and then relax. Try for some time and when the muscles become stronger, try to exercise while standing, sitting or walking.

  • Make sure to be focused –

To get better results, focus on tightening the pelvic floor muscles.

  • Repeat the exercise 3 times a day –

Premature ejaculation can cause stress and anxiety in a relationship, but there is no need to worry because the condition is treatable.
